Additionally, users have the option to upload their creations to the Sketchfab platform.

For optimal results when scanning smaller objects, it is recommended to utilize the TrueDepth camera, while the LiDAR scanner is more suitable for scanning larger objects and spaces. Valuable tips for achieving superior scanning outcomes are also available within the application.

Smart 3D Scan is compatible with the following devices:

• TrueDepth camera: iPhone X, XR/XS/XS Max, 11 or newer, iPad Pro 11-inch 1st generation or newer, iPad Pro 12.9-inch 3rd generation or newer
• LiDAR scanner: iPhone 12 Pro/Pro Max or newer, iPad Pro 11-inch 2nd generation or newer, iPad Pro 12.9-inch 4th generation or newer

Users can explore the new Photogrammetry mode which transforms a series of images taken with an iPhone or iPad into USDZ files suitable for viewing in AR Quick Look. Photogrammetry functionality is available on iOS/iPadOS 17 and is supported by the following devices: iPhone 12 Pro/Pro Max or newer, iPad Pro 11-inch 3rd generation or newer, iPad Pro 12.9-inch 5th generation or newer (requiring a device equipped with LiDAR Scanner and A14 Bionic chip or later).

Smart 3D Scan is a freely accessible application that does not necessitate dependency on an external server or internet connection for capturing and storing your 3D models as all data is securely retained on your device.
